The Rotating Triangles quilt pattern is an advanced beginner pattern that has a classic, clean look and will work well in many different color-ways. This pattern uses half square triangles; however, instead of traditionally piecing the HSTs, fabric squares are folded and layered together creating a folded "pocket" of fabric in the shape of a HST. Folding is quick and great for beginners as there is no need to worry about wonky triangles or squaring up the blocks. An Addendum is included at the end of the pattern with all fabric requirements and instructions for traditionally pieced HSTs.
When it comes time for quilting, this is a great pattern to play with negative space. There is a lot of room to show off hand or machine quilting. Enjoy making this clean, modern (and not-so-traditional) quilt pattern.
